Service Description

The AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program is one of the most widely recognized standards for well-mannered dogs. This training package prepares dogs and their owners to successfully complete the ten skills required for the official AKC CGC evaluation while building reliable everyday manners that carry into real life. During this program, we work through each component of the CGC test step-by-step, helping your dog develop the calm behavior, focus, and impulse control needed to succeed in public settings. Training focuses not only on passing the test, but on creating a dog that is enjoyable to live with and confident in a variety of environments. Skills covered include: • Accepting a friendly stranger • Sitting politely for petting • Grooming and handling tolerance • Loose-leash walking • Walking through a crowd • Sit, down, and stay with reliability • Coming when called • Calm behavior around other dogs • Appropriate reactions to distractions • Supervised separation This package is ideal for dogs who already have basic obedience skills and are ready to refine their manners to a higher standard. Owners receive coaching throughout the process so they understand how to maintain the behaviors and communicate clearly with their dog. As an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator, Bridger K9 can administer the official CGC test once your dog demonstrates the required skills. Dogs who pass will earn the AKC Canine Good Citizen title. This program helps owners build a dog that is not only capable of passing the evaluation, but also confident, polite, and reliable in everyday life.



Cancellation Policy

BOOKING POLICIES Booking a Training Session or Program All sessions must be booked through the online scheduling system. Your appointment is not confirmed until payment has been submitted. For multi-week training programs, either full payment or a required deposit must be paid at the time of booking to reserve your spot. New Client Requirements All new clients must schedule an Initial Consultation and Assessment before enrolling in any training program unless otherwise stated. This allows me to evaluate your dog’s behavior, discuss your goals, and ensure the program is appropriate. Proof of age-appropriate vaccinations may be required. Location of Training Training sessions may take place in your home, in public settings, or virtually depending on the service selected. Travel outside the standard service area may require an additional travel fee. Arrival and Session Length Sessions begin and end at the scheduled time. If you arrive late, the session will still end at the original time and will not be extended. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the session may be marked as a no-show and the full session fee will apply. Payment Payment is required at the time of booking. Accepted forms of payment will be listed on the scheduling page. Sessions or programs will not be held without payment. CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING POLICIES 48-Hour Cancellation Policy Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment. Any appointment cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours of the session time will be charged the full session fee. This policy applies to all services, including consultations, private training, and multi-week programs. No-Shows A no-show is defined as failing to attend your session without prior notice. No-shows will be charged the full session fee. Repeated no-shows may result in loss of booking privileges or dismissal from ongoing programs. Refund Policy Training programs, packages, and sessions are non-refundable once purchased. Unused sessions expire 90 days after purchase unless otherwise stated. Refunds are not issued for missed sessions, late arrivals, or cancellations that occur outside the policy window. Illness Policy (Human or Dog) If you, anyone in your household, or your dog is ill, please contact me as soon as possible to discuss rescheduling. I will waive cancellation fees for contagious illness if notified before the scheduled session time.
